Welcome to Lumini Behaviour Support

We are a small, friendly team of NDIS-registered Behaviour Support Practitioners supporting people across Australia.

We go beyond the written plan — working alongside individuals and their support networks to implement practical, person-centred strategies that build on strengths, promote independence, and improve quality of life.

Why we exist

The Lumini mission

When someone is distressed, overwhelmed, unsafe or unable to communicate their needs, behaviour can become the clearest signal that support is not working as well as it could.

We help you look beyond the behaviour itself, understand what may be driving it, and build a clearer way forward.

How we help

Making support feel clearer

When behaviour becomes challenging, it can affect everyone involved, from the participant and their family, to carers, providers and support workers.

We help bring structure to those situations by identifying what may be contributing to the behaviour, what needs to change, and what strategies are most likely to help in real life. The aim is to make support feel less reactive and more consistent, so the participant can feel safer, better understood and more supported.

Practical behaviour support

Strategies that hold up in real life

Behaviour support works best when the people around the participant understand the approach and feel confident using it.

Lumini Behaviour Support provides practical training and education for families, carers and support workers, so strategies are not just written down. They are understood, practised and used consistently across different settings. This helps reduce confusion, improve communication and create a more predictable support environment for the participant.

Our difference

Plans written with purpose

Plans and reports have an important role, but they should only be developed when they are clinically needed, not simply because funding is available.

Lumini Behaviour Support keeps the focus on meaningful support. That means taking the time to understand the behaviour, reduce restrictive practices where possible, build skills, train support networks and help strategies become part of daily life.

Everything we do is to improve each person's quality of life
