Lumini Behaviour Support

We are a small and friendly team of NDIS registered Behaviour Support Practitioners who are available to provide PBS services across Australia.

Our goal is to empower individuals and their support networks through person-centred, non-aversive strategies and develop Behaviour Support Plans that build on individual strengths, promote independence, and improve quality of life.

Lumini Behaviour Support was established to deliver genuinely person‑centred Positive Behaviour Support. By minimising unnecessary administrative processes, we are able to focus on what matters most — spending time with people, building skills, and working collaboratively with each person’s support team through practical training and guidance. We believe effective behaviour support should be flexible, responsive, and tailored to the unique needs of each individual. Our practice is intentionally not driven by KPIs, allowing us to work in ways that are truly individualised and adaptive to change. As a small team of like‑minded practitioners, we place strong emphasis on understanding the whole person and their environment. Our work is guided by evidence‑based, non‑aversive strategies and a strengths‑based framework that promotes dignity, choice, and meaningful participation.

  • Provide Interim Behaviour Support Plans only where required under NDIS guidelines. Where there is no identified requirement, Interim plans are not prepared, allowing focus to remain on meaningful and effective support rather than unnecessary documentation.
  • Prepare Comprehensive Behaviour Support Plans in line with NDIS requirements, informed by assessment, collaboration, and evidence‑based practice.
  • Undertake functional behaviour assessments to understand why behaviours occur and what supports are most helpful in different environments
  • Provide training, guidance, and ongoing support to families, support workers, and providers to ensure Behaviour Support Plans are understood and implemented effectively in everyday settings.
  • Work collaboratively with families and support teams to build confidence, consistency, and shared understanding of behaviour support strategies.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of Behaviour Support Plans and review strategies as needed to ensure they remain appropriate, ethical, and responsive to change.
